Privacy Policy

1. The short version

CANpeek parses DBC and A2L files entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to us, never stored by us, and never seen by us. There is nothing for us to leak, sell or subpoena.

2. What we do NOT collect

We do not receive, transmit, store or process the files you open in the viewer. We do not require an account and do not collect your name or email address. There is no checkout or payment flow on this site, so no payment data is collected.

3. What is stored on your device

License keys: no new licenses are issued — paid features are not enabled. If a license was issued previously, it may still remain in your browser's localStorage on your device only; you can remove it at any time by clearing site data in your browser.

No cookies are used for tracking. No analytics cookies are set by the tool pages.

4. Paid features (not available)

There is currently no paid product. Everything available today is free to use. Pro and full export are planned for a future release; purchases are not available yet and no price has been set. No payment process is in place, and we do not receive or store any payment information.

5. Server logs

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard web-server metadata (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and abuse prevention, as any website does. This metadata is not combined with file contents — there are no file contents to combine, because files never leave your browser.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

Because we do not process your personal data beyond the hosting-provider metadata described in section 5, there is generally no personal data of yours for us to access, correct or delete. If you believe we hold personal data about you (for example from a support request), contact us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Changes

If this policy changes materially, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
