Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using CANpeek (the "Service") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service does

CANpeek parses CAN database files (DBC and A2L) locally in your web browser. File contents are processed on your device and are never transmitted to us. There is currently no paid product. Everything available today is free to use.

3. Your files and data

You retain all rights to the files you open in the viewer. We claim no license over them, because we never receive them. You are responsible for ensuring you are permitted to process those files on your device under your employment or confidentiality agreements.

4. Availability and licenses

There is currently no paid product. Everything available today is free to use; the free viewer limits preview exports to the first 20 rows and signal previews to 500 signals.

Pro and full export are planned for a future release; purchases are not available yet and no price has been set. No license can be obtained today.

License keys issued previously remain stored only in your browser's localStorage on your device; you can remove them at any time by clearing site data. No new keys are issued.

5. Acceptable use

Do not attack the Service, attempt to disrupt its operation, or use it for unlawful purposes.

6. No paid product or refunds

There is currently no paid product. Everything available today is free to use, so there is no checkout, no payment provider and no invoicing. Pro and full export are planned for a future release; purchases are not available yet and no price has been set. No paid product exists yet, so there is no refund policy to apply; if a paid product is introduced later, a separate policy will be published on this page first.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we test the parser carefully, you remain responsible for verifying results before using them in safety-relevant work. Since there is currently no paid product and everything available today is free to use, no fees are paid to us; to the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability arising from the Service is limited accordingly.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be published on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
